I like using the frozen pizza dough from Price Chopper to make “junk yard pizza” – after I add the tomato sauce and shredded cheese, I take any leftover veggies and/or meat and add them to the top – it’s tasty and it’s unique each time I make it!

The most creative pizza I ever thought of was a Baked Potato Pizza. And it tasted just like one. It was topped with small chunks of potatoes, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, broccoli and chives. When it came out of the oven I put some sour cream on and voila! Baked Potato Pizza!

Taco pizza — seasoned ground hamburger, diced red tomatoes, onion, green pepper, black olives, and price chopper taco blend cheese. You use taco sauce instead of tomato sauce and serve with a side scoop of sour cream if so desired.

I like to make an Avocado Shrimp pizza. You can either use pizza sauce or white garlic sauce. I place the sauce on the dough, then spread some fresh garlic on the sauce, slice an avocado into thin slices. Place them on top of the sauce , add mozzarella cheese & then place fresh shrimp (peeled & deveined) on top of the cheese. Bake at 450 for about 20 minutes or until done.

I love this time of year, because it’s when I get to throw together our family favorite Thanksgiving Leftovers Pizza! My brother is infamous for putting together this yummy pizza each season after Thanksgiving and I tell you from experience, it is brilliantly delicious! Let me give you a little sample: pour some gravy on your favorite Price Chopper dough (pre baked or fresh) and start layering on the leftover mashed potatoes, turkey, and stuffing! Drizzle on a bit more gravy and, if you’re feeling a little crazy, add some candied yams and green bean casserole! Top off with a light layer of shredded mozzarella cheese and pop in the oven! Thanksgiving by the slice – yum! I’m salivating just thinking about it – good thing it is just next week!!

My family’s favorite is an original spinach artichoke pizza! We’ve been trying to eat healthier AND get the kids involved with preparing food so pizza is a great option! We use the fresh price chopper whole wheat dough, top it lightly with white sauce, add fresh baby spinach, garlic, and artichokes. Red peppers too on mom and dads! Then sprinkle with mozzarella and shredded swiss cheeses. So good! Even my picky eaters love it!
